2020 Porsche Panamera Model Review

Explore the 2020 Porsche Panamera in Sewickley, PA

Since its launch in 2010, the Porsche Panamera has been the innovator in the Luxury Sport Sedan segment. The 2020 Porsche Panamera is everything you didn’t even know you wanted — maybe even always needed — in a luxury sedan.

Sportscar handling in a 4,000 pound full-size sedan? Burmester Audio Systems in an automobile? A Plug-in Hybrid Luxury Sedan?
The Porsche Panamera was the first to deliver each of these in a luxury sedan, and for 2020 it continues to redefine the segment. Maybe Car & Driver put it best when it called the Panamera “A Driver’s Car in a Segment that Prioritizes Passengers”, or maybe these other expert opinions better capture the contradiction that is the Porsche Panamera.

What the Critics Say

“The Porsche Panamera isn’t just a good car, it’s an outstanding one. While competition is tight in the super luxury car class, this Porsche’s exceptional performance leads the pack. From its base 330-horsepower V6 to its range-topping 680-horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrain, there are no dull engine options for the Panamera.”U.S. News & World Report

“Despite its length, the Panamera is wonderfully maneuverable, the steering is remarkably precise and the car corners like a champ, especially when the rear-wheel-steering setup is in the mix, along with Porsche’s torque-vectoring technology.”Kelley Blue Book

What’s New for 2020

Only a few updates have been made to the 2020 Porsche Panamera. To highlight the 10th anniversary of the Panamera, drivers can equip their Panamera with an available 10 Year Edition package which includes White Golf stitching on the seat, exclusive badges inside and out, and 21-inch wheels painted in White Gold Metallic. Other updates include the discontinuation of the Sapphire Blue Metallic exterior paint while Gentian Blue Metallic and Papaya Metallic have been launched as new color options.

Panamera Engines

Without a doubt, the Panamera spoils you with engines. The base model is powered by a 3.0-liter turbo V6 producing 330 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. The “S” models add a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 that increases horsepower to 440hp. The Panamera Turbo adds even more horsepower coming from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that pumps out 550 horsepower and 567 lb-ft of torque.

The Panamera E-Hybrid versions add horsepower and torque from an electric motor producing an additional 136 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque to either the base 3.0-liter V6 engine or — in the case of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid — adding that additional power and torque to the same twin-turbo V8 found in the Panamera Turbo S – and increasing total horsepower to 680 horsepower.

Interior

The cabin offers an array of advanced technology. The Porsche Communication Management includes a 12-inch high-resolution touchscreen display and is your central control for audio, navigation, and communication. Porsche Connect maximizes your connectivity in the Panamera. It offers access to your favorite smartphone apps and allows you to set up navigation from your phone to the in-car display.

Passengers can enjoy a cinematic experience with the Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment that provides two 10-inch touchscreen displays and connection to Porsche Management Communication. When you drive an exhilarating sports car, you’ll not only want technology to match it, but long-distance comfort as well. The heated and ventilated leather seats with an available massage function will deliver just that.

2020 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

Panamera Sport Turismo

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is the exciting continuation of the Panamera model line. Characterized by superior sportiness, eye-catching design, and excellent day-to-day usability, Panamera Sport Turismo stands out in its own right. Known for achieving the perfect balance between career, family, leisure, and driving pleasure, Porsche Panamera models never compromise. The standard 4+1 seating configuration in the Panamera Sport Turismo allows for generous interior seating space. Cargo capacity is generous with nearly 50 cubic feet of storage space along with a low 24.8-inch loading level allows for easy access. A redesigned raised roofline, large rear window, LED headlights and taillights, and available twin exhaust tailpipes help it stand out from the ordinary.
